Our Story

Born from Experience. Driven by Compassion.

Unite4Kids was founded following the childhood cancer diagnosis of six-year-old Holly Mead. During Holly’s treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, her family experienced firsthand the enormous difference charities make to children and families in hospital. From hospital visits and bedside activities to emotional support and practical assistance, these services brought comfort and moments of joy during an incredibly challenging time. Inspired by this experience, Unite4Kids was created to ensure other families receive the same care, compassion and support.

How Unite4Kids Began

In partnership with respected South Australian community leader Angela Condous AM and The Advertiser Foundation, the inaugural Unite4Kids luncheon was launched in 2014 to raise funds for the charities supporting children in hospital.

The overwhelming community response demonstrated the power of collective generosity and the importance of supporting organisations delivering frontline care.

Today

Today Unite4Kids Foundation works alongside trusted charities delivering vital programs for children facing serious illness, disability and hardship.

By raising funds and strengthening partnerships, Unite4Kids helps ensure these services continue to support children and families across Australia.

Holly is now a healthy teenager — a powerful reminder of resilience, courage and the impact of community support.
